Default Blown Tranny

After 3 years of the kids beating on it the gear box finally gave out. I was able to search google and found a replacement for $30, The new parts should arrive any day. My girls are looking forward to having their jeep for our yearly camping trip. I hope they show up this week!

When it dies for good it will be time to upgrade it to gas or somthing??????

that thing definately needs some gas power. i asked the wife if i could modify our daughters when she outgrows it , and she affectionately sai "NO!"
the neighbor said he has a jeep body i can have, but i haven't seen that yet. hope you get it back together in time for camping.

Parts showed up today but nobody was home. I have to pay an additional $40 to ups for custom fees!!!!!! DOH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They said they would try again tomorrow and that I could leave a cheque on the door!

If our kids only knew what lengths we go to , to make them happy! But I guess our parents were the same way! I just wish I was one of those kids who had a ride on toy when I was younger. I wanted a "Green Machine" Bad!

Default green machine

i hear ya with the green machine. i always wanted a big wheel, and never got one. thats what i blame my need for motorized toys on. yeah, it's my mom's fault.

My parents did not have the money to buy me nice "working" toys , so I did my best with the stuff I could piece together. Looking back I wouldn't change a thing. It was amazing what you could build with a pile of junk and a dream.

When we were kids we built a motorized cart that ran on the rail road tracks. 6 of us drove 10 miles and had no wories at all, If i ever found out my kids did the same I would have a cow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got something similar to that a few years ago at a garage sale--it was a john deer gator that had a bad battery. Since it was 12 volts, instead of spending $50 on a new one, I mounted a 12 volt deep cycle trollilng battery in the back for $48. It would run all weekend on one charge instead of 45 min.
